A Welcome Message From Our Pastor

“FOLLOW ME.”

These two simple words are a perfect summary of the Christian life. We are called to follow Jesus.

This is our vision at First Baptist Church of Oak Park. We want to go where Jesus wants us to go, and we want to do what he wants us to do. And we want to help others do the same.

Why? Because following Jesus will change your life.

We would love for you to join us on this exciting journey. We’re not there yet, but that’s okay. After all, we are following Jesus, and Jesus knows the way.

What to Expect at First Baptist Church

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” -Acts of the Apostles 2:42

Corporate worship is central to the Christian journey. Our worship experiences are crafted to please to God and edify God’s people. In our worship services, we sing hymns of praise, pray together, hear God’s voice speaking to us through scripture readings and spoken word, and are invited to make a commitment to Christ’s church.

During every service, we pause to offer each other the peace of Christ, and we observe the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of each month. Following our service, we invite our guests and members for fellowship in the Cloister room on the first floor.

Whether you are from Oak Park, or any nearby area or just visiting this weekend, we would love to share this special time of worship with you. We hope that you will join us as we grow in our commitment to God, to one another and to our community.
